Privacy Policy

This policy covers CGS ID (our single account system) and every Chaotic Game Studios title, including Strike-Command: Idle Esports, TagTalk, Score Crew: Idle Heist, AstroForge, and future games. Individual games may also publish their own policy pages; where they do, this policy applies in addition.

Information we collect

• CGS ID account data — if you create a CGS ID, we store your email address, display name, and a one-way hashed password (we never store or see your plain password). If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the secret needed to verify your codes.
• Third-party sign-in — if you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive the identity token that provider issues and link it to your CGS ID. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
• Session & device data — sign-in sessions, device names, and timestamps, used to keep your account secure and to show you your active sessions in the account portal.
• Gameplay data — progress, currencies, rankings, and results, stored per game to provide cloud saves, leaderboards, and cross-device play.
• User content — messages you send in in-game chat are stored temporarily so they can be delivered to other players and reviewed by moderators (see each game's policy for retention, e.g. 7 days in Strike-Command).
• Support & contact — if you email us or file a support ticket, we keep that correspondence to respond and to resolve the issue.
• Basic technical data — IP addresses and request logs are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention. Crash and diagnostic data may be collected by the app stores and (where ads are enabled) by Google AdMob.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account, including sign-in, password reset, and two-factor authentication emails.
• To link your progress across our games and devices under one login.
• To operate online features: cloud saves, leaderboards, multiplayer, chat, clans, and in-game events.
• To moderate user content and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or advertising profiles.
• We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data.

Third-party services

• Google Play / Apple App Store — purchases are processed by the stores under their own policies.
• Google / Apple sign-in — authentication is handled by the provider you choose.
• Google AdMob — where ads are enabled in a game, AdMob may collect device identifiers as described in Google's privacy policy.
• MyMemory translation — only when you tap "translate" on a chat message in a supported game; that message's text is sent to MyMemory for translation.
• Resend — delivers account emails (verification, password reset, security alerts) on our behalf; only your email address is shared for delivery.

Data retention & security

Account and gameplay data are retained while your account exists. Chat messages rotate out automatically (per-game retention). Connections use TLS, passwords are stored hashed, server access is key-only and monitored, and databases are backed up on a rotating schedule. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a duty we take personally.

Your choices

• Play our games without an account — progress stays on your device only.
• View and manage your active sessions and linked games in the account portal.
• Delete your account and server-side data at any time from the account portal or by emailing us. Deletion removes your CGS ID and unlinks your game progress.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Account creation requires an age-appropriate sign-in method. Our Child Safety Standards apply across all of our apps.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Material changes will also be announced in our games or by email where appropriate.
